So I found this Cisco something on eBay for $40, said "datacenter decommission" and I think why not? The thing arrive today, 48 ports, 10GbE, is very good deal I think. We make a test soon. But the power brick is bigger than my router... this is normal?
Please be aware that enterprise switches often ship with firmware locks or require licensed feature sets to function beyond base layer-2. Check the part number against the vendor lock documentation before you spend hours on it.
Also: measure your rack depth. These units are frequently 600mm+ and will not fit a standard wall bracket.
