Honest take: I outgrew Time4VPS, they didn't fail me

I outgrew Time4VPS. They didn't fail me.

Started 2011, storage VPS, €3/month. Now running multi-region k8s. The gap is obvious. But I want transparency here: my last ticket with them was resolved in 4 hours. My current provider's SLA says 24. Time4VPS has no SLA. They just... did it.

This isn't a recommendation. Their PHP versions are ancient, their "cloud" is OpenVZ with extra steps, their error budget would make any SRE weep. But they were honest. No overselling, no dark patterns. I checked my logs: 2013, 6-hour outage, they posted full details before I asked.

I'm leaving grateful. That's allowed, right?

Gratitude is fine, but let's look at deliverability. For what it's worth, Time4VPS's IP reputation is actually terrible. SPF records optional until 2019, no DKIM until 2021. I helped a client there in 2020 — their transactional mail hit Spamhaus twice.

Your nostalgia is valid. Their email infrastructure was not.
