Hetzner's "dedicated" IP was on six blacklists already

So I got this "dedicated" ip from Hetzner for my little mqtt bridge project, right? Figured hey, clean slate, my own reputation. Ran it through mxtoolbox at 3am because why sleep when you can suffer

Six blacklists. Six.

Spamhaus, barracuda, this one ive never even heard of called "badware.org" or something. Anyway my bridge emails me alerts and now they all bounce. Idk why I do this to myself

Tried setting up spf/dkim/dmarc like a good citizen, nope. The ip is toasted. Is this normal? Do I just ask for a swap? Feels like I inherited someone else's nightmare

I had this exact thing happen on a Hetzner box I picked up last month. IP was on six blacklists before I even got the welcome email. I opened a ticket and they told me it was from a reclaimed pool, but they didn't catch it in whatever scan they run. Took about a day to get a swap, and the new one was clean across the blacklists I checked. Not sure where they pulled the replacement from — some other range they have, I guess. RDNS worked fine once I set it up.

If you're in the same boat, just ticket them and push for a quick swap. Don't bother trying to clean the old one yourself, it's not worth the time.

How do I know if my ip is clean? I just got one from Hetzner too for my pottery shop email should I be worried? I dont know how to do that dig thing
