I used to run a few things on CloudCone back when they were pushing those lifetime deals. When the brand got folded into another host I figured I'd move rather than stick around to see what happened to the pricing.
I still have the last node specs written down somewhere:
- Dual L5630 CPUs
- 16GB DDR3 ECC
- 2x2TB SATA (no RAID)
- 1Gbps shared port
I would not trust that hardware for anything critical at this point.
Ended up on Hetzner for most of it. The auction side is where the value is if you know what you're looking for, though the signup checks are a pain and you can't call anyone when something breaks. Still, for the price nothing else in Europe comes close.
