Hetzner suspended my "unmetered" VPS at 8TB, fair or fine print?

¿why not¿ brother. So I signed up with Hetzner for their "unmetered" VPS, is very cheap, 4 dollars only jaja. I run some video processing for my cousin's small channel, nothing crazy. Yesterday they suspend me at 8TB usage ¿fair or what¿ They say "reasonable use" in some email but I never see this brother! The sales page still say unmetered now, no asterisk nothing. Is very frustrating, I already pay for whole month. Can or not they do this lah?

Oh man the internet box got shut off? That's rough. My nephew set this up for my shop and he always says unmetered means unmetered, like the water bill. Hetzner shoulda been clearer if they got a hidden cap. I had Dell come out once for my Server and they explained RAM vs the storage thing, maybe your "unmetered" is like the RAM not the hard drive? Confusing stuff.

Ngl this is why I stopped trusting "unmetered" for inference workloads. I was gonna run some LLM stuff on a cheap VPS for text generation, did the VRAM math and realized even 8TB is nothing if you're pulling model weights constantly. Providers love the word until you actually use it. What's their actual backbone commit, like 10Gbps shared? That's the real question

Brother I already face same thing with Vultr last year. They say unmetered but already suspend at 6TB. I email them "can or not you show where in ToS" and they send some vague "reasonable use" line. Very frustrating dong. My advice: ask for case-by-case exception, sometimes they give if you nice. But better move to real metered plan, at least honest.

My $3 HostHatch beats your Hetzner lol. Just ran YABS: 892MB/s disk, 9.4Gbps network, 1.2M iops. Your "unmetered" drama means nothing if the single-thread perf is garbage. Who cares about 8TB when cpu steal is 40% anyway. Real world use case: run the benchmark, pick the winner, done.

Brother I understand they have cost but then don't say unmetered jaja. My cousin channel is small, 8TB is like two weeks of 1080p uploads, not even 4K. If they want to sell "reasonable use" then put the number! 2TB? 5TB? I don't know lah.

Now I need to move everything before weekend. Anybody know if HostHatch actually unmetered or same trap?

I want to clarify because people will misread. HostHatch storage VPS is metered on bandwidth, their regular VPS has "fair share" same as everyone. I have one in Zurich, got warned at 12TB one month. Not suspended, warned. Different policy.

The YABS numbers I posted are real but that was a storage VPS with NVMe, different product line. Don't mix them.

Same trap, different threshold. Read their AUP. All these budget providers use the same language.

Brother I already tell you, move to real metered plan. Vultr bandwidth overage is $0.01 per GB, very clear. You know exactly. "Unmetered" is casino, you never know when security come.

I have 7 VPS now, all metered or with clear limit. Sleep better dong.

Following this because I resell and need to know which providers actually cut.

My experience: Hetzner auction servers have hard 30TB limit written in the robot panel, no surprises. Their cloud "unmetered" is the soft one people complain about. Two different products, two different policies. I tell my customers auction if they need transfer, cloud if they need API.

Reseller tip: always check if the provider has a bandwidth graph in the panel. No graph = they don't want you to know. I use https://www.hetzner.com/sb for that.
