It's 3AM and the auto-start on our backup generator just failed. The building's on battery and I'm looking at the manual crank port but there is no handle anywhere in the DC. These things are supposed to be chained to the unit, but this is an inherited install. Does anyone know the shaft size on a Kohler 100REZG? Or where I can get a compatible handle before the UPS gives up? Model year is apparently 2014 but the nameplate is worn.
Generator auto-start failed, manual crank handle missing
Please check maintenance log, server maybe has crank in tool room? Help, I found handle for 100REZG on auction site for 12 dollar. "Kohler crank handle" maybe typo but looks same.
My box is in same building , this generator never had crank handle xd I ask facility guy last year, he say "was never here" xd maybe check with Contabo, they have same model I think, maybe they lend you this
Hosting in this conditions is precarious. I have seen this before: the previous operator took the crank for another site. They are standard 22mm shaft, you can use any compatible. But the auto-start failure is the real concern, no?
Generator parts same story. That $12 handle is already bid to $47 with 2 hours left. Dark times.
Shaft size on that 100REZG is hex or square?
$47 for a crank handle, dark times indeed
