Found a /24 sitting in ARIN's waiting room under some defunct "Midwest Data Systems" Org ID from 1994. Legacy space, no POC updates since 2019. Just sitting there like a free lunch for whoever files first.

Thought about going for it but the paperwork looks like a skill issue. Anyone actually won one of these?

Actually, the waiting room is not a queue but a public notice period under Section 4.2 of the NRPM. RFC 7020 defines the registry stability requirements. ARIN staff process in order of completeness, not submission timestamp. Incomplete filings restart the review.
