Right then, flash sale on Hostinger's "lifetime" VPS, $12/year. Cart said stock held for 20 minutes while I fumbled my card. Proper panic, expired debit, had to grab the missus's. Payment failed twice, third time went through—item gone.
But here's the kicker: my mate Dave, same sale, paid in 45 seconds flat. His went through. Mine said "held" the whole time. Either their "hold" is a polite fiction, or I'm the unluckiest badger on the box. Anyone else clock the timer actually working?
