Yooooo I did it! After 3 years on Hostinger shared hosting I finally got a VPS from Contabo and migrated everything!
No more "resource limit reached" emails! No more support telling me to "optimize" my site! I have root now! I can break things myself!
Running Debian 12, nginx, MariaDB, php-fpm. Learned docker. Learned systemd. My site loads in 200ms instead of 4 seconds!
To everyone still on shared hosting: you can do it! Read the docs! Break stuff! Fix it! The journey is worth it!
