Finally decommissioned our last R720

Finally powered off our last Dell R720 today. Twelve years of service across two datacenter moves. These boxes earned their keep, even if the Linux crowd here would have decommissioned them in 2019. We are now fully on Vultr VMs with HostHatch for cold storage. The R720s are stacked on a pallet and I am not sure what comes next. Does anyone still want 2.5" SAS drives by the pound?

Have you tried restarting it?

Congrats on the refresh Which providers take XMR for e-waste disposal? Asking for a friend who wants to stay private about his hardware trail. CloudCone used to but they stopped last year.

Twelve years on the same R720s? Those must have been refreshed chassis.

Which Vultr VM tier replaced them?

No logs, no proof. I have logs.
