The datacenter guy I know says theyre dumping e5-2670v2s by the pallet... 50 bucks for dual socket with 128gb ddr3... im definitely gonna grab some... he says they got 800 units from some cloud migration... who needs efficency when u got 20 cores for the price of lunch...

Also saw supermicro 2u chassis for 35... no rails tho... rails are 60 extra which is robbery

$3/year. 128MB RAM. Pure happiness.

Mistake though: I bought ddr3 ecc reg last month at 2x this price. Oof. Live and learn folks

Rails for 60? That's more than the chassis.
