Zabbix poller got nuked by DDoS filter at 3am. 2U Supermicro X11, dual E5-2680v4, 128GB. Filter saw sustained 800pps from monitor node and dropped it. Took 45min to get IPMI going because I was lazy and used same path.
Never again. Separate management VLAN on dedicated NIC, separate switch. Cost me a pallet of downtime.
