I am travel 40 week last year for work. Very tired of restaurant. So I am buy:

- rice cooker (small one, 0.6L)
- hot plate (portable, 800W)
- one good knife

Xixixi I am cook in bathroom sometimes because the smoke alarm lah

Technique I am learn:
- rice cooker can do rice (obfious), also steam vegetable, also slow-cook stew if you are patient
- hot plate + hotel iron as press = grilled sandwich
- sink + plastic bag + hot water from tap = sous vide for egg, very gentle

I am eat better than my colleague who spend $50 per dinner. They are jealous xixixi

The rice cooker is the goat

Got mine from a thrift store, $4. No kitchen 6 months, saved maybe $800 on food vs delivery. Definitely worth it

Im also use the iron for quesadillas. Wrap in foil, iron both sides. $0.50 meal. A lot better than $12 hotel sandwich

$3/year. 128MB RAM. Pure happiness.
