Control panel: I built my own, regretted it instantly

So I got fed up with cPanel pricing and built my own panel in Go. Three weeks of 3AM debugging, zero documentation, and now I'm too embarrassed to show anyone the source.

The worst part? I started adding Stripe, then thought "which providers take XMR?" and now there's a whole crypto payments module nobody asked for. The UI looks like a 2007 vBulletin admin page. My girlfriend asked why I was crying at the terminal.

Anyone else built something they instantly regretted?

The graphs don't lie: your time would have been better spent evaluating existing panels. I track my personal projects with a 99.97% uptime target and I would not trust a hand-rolled control panel to meet that.

Status pages exist for a reason. Alert fatigue from self-hosted monitoring is real; alert fatigue from your own buggy panel is existential.

436 days. reboot is surrender.

How much you paying for the vps to host this panel though? Deal or no deal?

Saw Hostinger has a 2GB steal for $3.50 but no free trial so im suspicious. Your panel better not be costing more than the servers it manages
