Contabo's 'green hydrogen backup' is a single trailer that leaked

Contabo announced their "sustainable backup power initiative" in March. Sounded impressive. I was curious, so I drove to the facility during a site visit—IMO, YMMV, but I think people should verify marketing claims.

There is one trailer. It has not run since delivery. There is a stain on the concrete I would describe as consistent with a leak. I asked the tour guide about runtime testing. He said "that's scheduled for Q3." I asked about capacity. He did not know if it could handle one floor or all five.

Contabo locked comments on their LinkedIn announcement yesterday. Take that as you will.

It is possible to do that, one trailer for all the DC? Mdr no I think not. Thank you for the post, I will look elsewhere

Quinnbizz you are coming with the facts, I am coming to say this is why I do not trust the greenwashing. I used Time4VPS before, they said "solar backup" but is it? I go go check and it was one panel on the roof for the office AC. Now now I check check everything.

fio, iperf, geekbench. results or gtfo.

Q3 testing for a backup system that hasn't run once?

Contabo's "green" claim or the leak itself?
