Hello, I have make a Proxmox cluster at home since 2 years, 3 nodes with ceph and 10 VMs. I have make also some terraform and ansible for deploy. In interview last week the guy say "this is not production experience". I am very surprised. It is possible to do that? For me it is real work, I have tought a lot about this. What is your opinion? However, the skills you describe—Ceph, Terraform, Ansible—are directly transferable. The GDPR compliance angle alone, which many small labs ignore, shows operational maturity if you have implemented it. I would argue that the question is not "is it real" but "can you articulate the differences" between your basement and a regulated environment.
My home lab is 5 node with 40 vms and my work production is only 3 vms on very old hypervisor my friend. I tink home lab is more complex actually. I dont understand why they dont value it my friend. You are not alone!
