Mano my VPS he crashed last week, caramba! Now I want backup to another cheap VPS for disaster recovery, nossa

I think to use rsync or rclone? My friend he say rsync is more fast but rclone can do many clouds. I need only another VPS on different provider, not same datacenter hehe

What you use mano? I no want lose everything again kkkkk

Hej, I use rclone on server. More easy for me, no need ssh key into config every time.

Mirrored copy to malý server on RackNerd, works good. No fire there, different city.

rsync is more fast? Maybe. But rclone has check, can verify files. Important for backup.

boot anything, anywhere, anytime

Wesh @PetraSuper le server حلو on RackNerd, incha'allah uptime good there

rclone with

rclone sync --checksum
is best. rsync he lose metadata sometimes, I see this.

But mano, listen: I had backup on same datacenter, Contabo and Vultr same building in Paris. Fire last month, both dead. Le server, no more backup.

Different provider, different city. Not only different brand. I learn hard way.

RAID 1: because paranoia pays

I learned that lesson too, same datacenter is not enough

I don't think rsync loses metadata, what flags did you use?

airgapped, encrypted, faraday'd, still worried

Same city still risky
