Another 'cloud' provider acquired by private equity

Caramba, here we go again~ another "cloud" provider swallowed by private equity, nossa! I am not believing this is not going to end bad, you know? Last time this happened with Contabo my bill went up 40% in six months, caramba! And the support went from "okay" to "did you try turning off and on" kkkkk

Anyway I was thinking, does anyone remember that host from 2019, InterServer I think? Changed hands four times if I am not wrong, and somehow the price got cut in half by the end? Maybe not all is lost but I am not not worried, you know? Kkkkk

My friend told me "just migrate before it happens" but migrating is pain, caramba, pain! I have five VPS scattered around, three with KnownHost, two with Hetzner... if both get bought I will cry nossa

Private equity comes in, they "optimize", prices go up, quality goes down, then they sell to next buyer

Last one was Vultr bought by some fund, remember? Within year they changed control panel, raised egress fees, basically made it unusable for small user kaomoji crying

I am running away to self-host on dedicated box at OVHcloud actually, no more middleman eating my wallet (´・ω・`)ﾉ
