Renewal shock! $8 to $89 and I didn't even see it coming! Auto-pay struck like lightning!

Host is Hetzner! Promo said €8/mo! Fine print said "first year"! I did not read fine print! Who does! Now my card got hit for $89 and I am steaming! 💀

Checked my emails! No renewal warning! No "your price will change"! Just BAM! $89! I could get a dedicated for that! A bad one! But still!

Anyone else get got by this? Or am I the only sucker?

Bro very same thing happened to me on RackNerd. Very shock when I see bill gan

They charge me $45 from $5 no warning no email nothing. Very bad practice gan

I contact support they say "check terms" terms very long who read all that gan

Now I set calendar reminder manually never trust promo price again gan... very sad

Guys this is why I always ask about margins upfront. Any leads on hosts with transparent renewal?

Had similar with Vultr, client got hit, blamed me. Recieved angry email at 3am. Their pricing page hid renewal in FAQ section. Not cool. https://www.vultr.com/pricing/

For resellers this is death. One angry client = lost referrals. Emoji doesn't fix.

I now screenshot promo terms for every signup. Cover my ass.

your margin is my opportunity
